My first attempt at a chef knife has proven itself a robust and resilient option for the cutting board. While your traditional chef knife is typically flat ground, I offer this option with a convex grind that means a slightly more aggressive taper- if you're looking for a sushi-thin tomato this is not your knife, but I offer an all-purpose long lasting edge. The blade measures 6" from tip to guard and is ground from a 416 layer random pattern billet from Alabama Damascus. The copper guard is cold forged, staked and soldered from the underside with black, white and maroon fiber, aluminum and Willow Bow sheep horn spacers which top an ancient bog oak handle that's carbon dated to over 4000 years old. Overall length measures 10" and it comes in a G. Cunningham handmade zipper case.
