Antique Sambar Stag and Musk Ox Bowie style Camp Chef - S30V

Inspired by the frontier and featuring repurposed stag from the later part of that era, this new Cunningham Custom Shop Bowie style chef knife brings cowboy flavor to the home or cabin kitchen. I chose high carbon stainless s30v for the blade steel for it's corrosion resistance, and I find it is a little easier to sharpen than other stainless options like 440c and it measures 6" from tip to guard with a razor sharp convex grind. The copper guard is filed, staked and soldered in place above black, maroon, white and gray vulcanized fiber spacers that collar a musk ox boss accent. It should be noted how comfortable the contours of the spacer section in particular fit the hand- it's a light yet confident feel that one must experience to appreciate. The handle is century-old sambar stag with the original German silver buttcap in place from the cutlery set is came from. Overall length measures just over 10 1/2" and it comes guaranteed for life in a Cunninghammer zipper case.
