Finishing up this one, I let out a satisfactory sigh and thought that I wouldn't mind making about a thousand more knives exactly like this. Perfect may not exist, but it's everything I think a knife should be. I forged it to shape from a John Deere load control shaft (a premium grade 5160 spring steel) and it measures a little over 3 1/2" from tip to guard with a razor sharp convex grind that sits above a finger-choke riccasso. The nickel silver guard is soldered in place over desert ironwood, black, maroon, white and gray fiber spacers as well as a premium sambar stag handle that uniqely fills both the left and right hand like a perfect glove. Overall length measures 8 1/8" and it comes in one of my hand-stitched pouch sheaths like the one shown. I guarantee this knife for life!
