Sea Green G10 Recurve Drop Point

Upon final inspection, my mentor suggested this knife would far surpass the HEPK standards and bend many times in a vice if subjected to the full gauntlet, but for now passing brass edge chip tests and manila rope cuts have more than proven this knife is ready for the even the most grueling backcountry. Forged from 52100, the blade features a three dimensional convex grind that received a week-long heat treat cycle… like a good pot of chili, slow cooking allows the ingredients to get to know each other, bond, and work together. The blade measures 5” from tip to guard including a finger-choke riccasso that allows for a number of comfortable and controlled grips. The brass guard is staked from the under-side with a little bit of solder to bind to the tang and fill in any gaps. The handle is sea foam g10 (or forest green… you decide!) that I epoxied together with white vulcanized fiber and secured through the tang with brass pins. I’d l’d like to note and thank Roger Mudbone Jones for supplying the handle material for this build. The overall length measures a little over 9 1/2” and it comes in one of my custom pouch sheaths. I marked the blade GC and stamped the leather with my Jolly Cunninghammer stamp. I guarantee this knife and sheath for hard use for life.
